Well Crafted Labs founder Jessie Thompson was general manager of the original Yoga Works yoga schools in Santa Monica, CA when the idea for cleaning products that the yoga community would embrace was born. Yoga Works was where many of our best loved American yoga teachers developed their careers, and where many of the founding mothers and fathers of yoga in America would come to teach. It was a busy place, and that meant it got dirty and sweaty on a daily basis. Jessie decided to figure out a way to keep yoga studios clean, and she needed to do it with ingredients that this community would know are safe to use without any harsh chemicals. She had also developed an interest in essential oils, and so natural fragrancing with these oils was incorporated into the plan to keep yoga studios and yoga mats clean. 

A connection with one of the top yoga mat and accessories companies allowed these products to be taken to market with success that was built over many years. Later, a new partnership with a blossoming wellness and body care brand lead up to the founding of Well Crafted Labs. Today, Well Crafted Labs proudly develops and manufactures both body care and home care products.

Jessie started the company at the "family farm" on a beautiful 75 acre site in the mountains of Northern Pennsylvania. It was originally a dairy farm and more recently an organic veggie operation. The farm was then converted to create and manufacture our products until a move in December of 2024 when Well Crafted Labs relocated to a commercial location in the 

nearby town of Wellsboro, PA, where it still resides.
